Longridge Fell walk this Sunday 2 Months ago
Hi,

Is anyone going on the Longridge Fell walk this weekend? I've signed myself up but am having to come on my own with my springer Milly as my friend can't come.

I don't really know where it is or anything!

an email with all the info, I wasnt sure either so I emailed the webmaster, so you should be ok. Where do you live, we live in Cheshire.

Hi, I have had another email with map on, so we are going to head for the pub 'New Drop' inn using the sat nav and postcode PR3 2YX and hopefully will be ok from there. Really looking forward to it, see you there!

Hi

Firstly sorry to anyone who has not received an email re the walk on Sunday, my partner is the webmaster and I was under the impression that everyone who had registered for the walk had been emailed.

The walk is at Longridge fell, head to Longridge from Preston, at the mini roundabout at the Old Oak Pub bear to the right past the church, the road goes round to the right, at the T junction turn right and go down the road until you come to the Corporation Arms, the road splits turn left and head round a sharp left hand bend, keep going the approx 2 miles or so until the come to a old pub which is up for sale this pub is on a corner you turn left before the pub head up the hill past a sign saying Trough of Bowland and turn first right at the New Drop Inn (which is on the corner) you are on the Old Clitheroe Road. Go past the pub car park and keep on down the road you will see a chicken farm in a dip on the right, then you will drive past Dutton Dog House Kennels on the left, keep going for approx another mile or so, and you will see a entrance with a purpleish gate which is set back a few feet from the road, park on the grass verge there or on a car park just up the road on the right, (it is only small), so I suggest that most people park on the grass verge, the road is quiet anyway and there is never alot of traffic along there.

Please note that the pub we are going to afterwards is not the New Drop, they unfortunately could not accomodate us as they don't have a beer garden, but the Duke William in Longridge, Post Code PR3 3NR

If you have any problems getting there then please feel free to contact me on my mobile 07759795920
