Stealing food 3 Months, 1 Week ago
Our 3 year old springer steals food whenever he can!! If we leave anything unattended its gone in a flash, despite numerous attempts to train him out of this habit......any suggestions great fully accepted!

Re:Stealing food 3 Months, 1 Week ago
Hi,
Molly my springer took a full 12" pizza from the kitchen counter that was waiting to go into the oven a few days after I got her (even though she had just been fed ) I was talking on the phone in another room whilst the oven heated and when I returned to put the pizza into the oven it wasn't there - I thought I was going mad until I saw some cheese reminents on her whiskers
So the next night I did exactly the same thing, leaving the pizza on the kitchen surface whilst I went into the hallway (albeit I was peeping into the kitchen to see what she did this time). She put her 2 front paws onto the kitchen surface and pulled the pizza towards her and ran off with it through the dog flap into the garden to have a feast. Unfortunately for her, this time, I had put a mixture of mustard paste and chilli on top it was so funny watching her want to eat it but each time taking a nibble and then shooting off as if it had attacked herand drinking lots and lots of water. Strange but I can leave my pizza unattended now!
As disgusting as it sounds my cocker Ben used to eat Molly's poo but I did the same with that with the same result. I sacrificed a pizza to do this but have saved many more in the process
Good Luck
Susan

Re:Stealing food 3 Days, 15 Hours ago
Thanks for the food tips! He still steals, even hot things, but isn't quits as bad!

New question...........

Every few weeks, our 3 year old springer wakes and howls for a minute, then stops and goes back to sleep.....Anyone know why he does this please?

It was 6.30 this morning when he started!

We wondered if it was anything to do with dreams maybe?

Any ideas gratefully accepted!
