We appreciate that a Springer who is dearly loved can also pose a problem to his owner and family. We have experienced people you can consult who will advise you on dominance, temperament and training related difficulties. A happy Springer is one who is gently but firmly disciplined. An unruly dog can lead to misery for both Springer and owner but this problem can be alleviated with kindness, perseverance, common sense so that the dog is taught he is not at the top of the pecking order after all. His place must be beneath any and all people who live in the house, particularly children.
