N.W.E.S.S.R has existed for a number of years and has recently been granted charitable status. This allows us to raise much needed funds to continue to find homes and give help to hundreds of Springer waifs and strays. The work of N.W.E.S.S.R. is forever ongoing.

N.W.E.S.S.R is recognised by the Kennel Club and is listed in the Kennel Club Rescue Directory and covers Merseyside, Lancashire, Cheshire, Manchester, Cumbria, North Wales and surrounding areas.

There are many reasons why a dog finds its way into the care of N.W.E.S.S.R. and a few are listed below.

  • Their owners have died
  • Owners unable to dedicate the time to a very energetic breed of dog
  • Cruelty and neglect Whatever the reason

N.W.E.S.S.R is here to help to care for and rehome English Springer Spaniels. Considerable care is taken when rehoming and our policy is not to place dogs with families who have young children if the temperament of the dog is unknown or questionable.

Newsflash

Thanks to everyone who entered the Calendar Competition which closed on 30th June, all your Images have now been downloaded! There are some fantastic images of dogs with Snow on their faces, sitting in front of Castles, on Trees, Springing about in fields, rivers on beaches and admiring the views on tops of mountains. There was even a seafaring doggie walking about a yacht - in fact I think we have been sent just about every type of springy image we could possibly get, so thanks v much because the winners will make a great calendar.

Judging starts on Sunday 25th July and we expect to have some winning pics announced by mid-august.
