Hello hoomans and dog pals,

Me again, with an update on the latest goings on in the madhouse. Princess Hilda's' new luxury throne room (the dog house) is almost finished. We are just waiting on the Lady Dogs brother to come and fix up the electrics next weekend and then the hoomans can arrange the grand opening ceremony that HR Springiness Princess Hilda has demanded! I am hoping we will get to make some more special doggy food for the event! Last week we had fish treats - I was the lucky one who got the whole bowl to lick - the others were very jealous but I saved some on my nose so they could all have a lick after!

This week I have really enjoyed my clicker games - I have learnt to go to a cone, a drain cover (nice!) and can now do a lovely 'down' and stay down ready for my toy to be thrown. I love to chase and bring back my toys - sometimes I drop them a bit far away but then I get to go and find them and if I put my nose on it or lie down by it the Lady dog throws it again - win win win - I like these games! Today, in the field a rather shy dog called Holly came over and tried to play with me when I was learning my special game. I was very polite and told her no matter how sweet she was I was not interested I only wanted to be with my lady dog playing! Think she will be back though as I can tell she thinks I am handsome and of course, she is right!

Lady Dog is looking after the large black dog called Frodo again this weekend. I have not seen him to play with yet because the Lady dog is also on nights. I am hoping to be the chosen one to see him today as I love to play in his garden. Apparently, the cover is off the thing the hoomans call a swimming pool (Frodos' hoomans are very posh - no like my hooman - we only have a pool for the fish) so we have to be careful not to fall in! Talking of fish - my baby Gladys thinks it is fun to try and catch the goldfish - she is very funny when she does it but today she did fall in and I had to don my super trunks to save her! I have told her that the hoomans will bring us the fish we need and that they live in small tins or a pool of ice in a place called Morrisons and taste much better than the gold ones!

Today I have to go with the gang and Big dog and Big Dogs' little dog who is called Harry. TBH he is not very little and is not a dog but a hooman. I like him a lot - when he comes to stay with us we all cuddle up on him all the time. Anyway, Big Dog has said we must go to visit his Mummy dog. She is called Lily and apparently feeds everyone lots of food. Stanley especially likes her! Then, next week baby Gladys has to go to the special vet place near where I went. She is going to see a hooman called Physio. I think she will do fine and the best thing is afterwards we are all going to the beach again...yippee.

Anyway peeps, the summer is coming so lets enjoy!

Woofs and licks, Alfred

P.S Big Dog has been soooo busy with the new throne room that he has not taken any new pics this week - will send you some soon X

Newsflash

Thanks to everyone who entered the Calendar Competition which closed on 30th June, all your Images have now been downloaded! There are some fantastic images of dogs with Snow on their faces, sitting in front of Castles, on Trees, Springing about in fields, rivers on beaches and admiring the views on tops of mountains. There was even a seafaring doggie walking about a yacht - in fact I think we have been sent just about every type of springy image we could possibly get, so thanks v much because the winners will make a great calendar.

Judging starts on Sunday 25th July and we expect to have some winning pics announced by mid-august.
